Commissioned by Dan Morris, this multi-movement piece for bass trombone is based on the Kübler-Ross Grief Cycle. The movements are Prelude, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. Each stage in the cycle uses a different mute to help depict the specific emotion.
